About the Brake Pads

Magura's 9.P pairs an organic Performance compound with the MDP 9 one-piece connected backplate. It fits Magura's four-piston MT calipers, the MT5 on the Bonnell 775 range among them, and Magura positions it for long tours where you want excellent performance in all situations. Each set has two pads on the connected backplate and does one caliper, so a front and rear refresh means ordering two sets together.

Install notes

Pull the wheel and the pad pin, then remove the old MDP 9 set as one piece. Clean the caliper and press the pistons back with a plastic tool. Insert the new connected pad set, refit the pin as Magura specifies, and bed the pads in before steep riding.

How many 9.P sets do I need for a Bonnell 775?

Two. Each set holds two pads on a connected backplate and covers one caliper, and the 775 has a four-piston MT5 caliper on each wheel. Ordering both at once keeps front and rear feeling the same.
