About the Tubeless Accessories

Tannus Armour is a foam insert that sits inside the tire around the tube, adding puncture resistance and sidewall support. This one is for the 29 inch front wheel, in the 1.95 to 2.5 inch width range. On a heavy e-bike it helps the front tire resist pinch flats and rim strikes when you hit rocks or square edges hard. Pair it with a tube that matches the insert maker's sizing guidance.

Install notes

Remove the tire and old tube. Fit the insert onto the rim first, place a tube inside, then work the tire bead over the insert. It is a tight fit, so use plenty of soapy water and tire levers carefully. Inflate within the tire's range.

FAQ

Does Tannus Armour work with tubeless?

Tannus Armour is designed to sit between the tire and a tube. If you want an insert for a tubeless setup, check the manufacturer's guidance for a tubeless-specific product.
